Marriage validity with foreign nationals. The case of moroccan citizens

Abstract: Over the past years the number of one or both prospective spouses are Moroccan citizens has increased in Spain. The aim of this paper is to analyse the main difficulties detected today in order to the validity of the marriage celebrated according to the civil or religious ceremony (Muslim rite) -in both Spain or Marroc-, as well as the legal recognition with the compulsory registration in the Spanish civil Registry.
